The juniper oil has been used as a ritual incense since the dawn of time and from very different civilizations such as the Babylonians, the Egyptians, the Tibetans and the American Indians. It has a cleansing and detoxifying role both for the physical and the auric body. This scent is especially useful to cleanse all the accumulated negative energy, especially if this has been brought about by other individuals with whom there is no tuning. The Native Americans burn dry twigs of a juniper species (Juniperus virginiana) together with other types of herbs during the purification ceremonies, although there is some confusion on the name of this particular Juniper, which in America is called cedar.
