The essence of mastic has pungent and spicy notes that make it vaguely musky. When sprayed in your home, it creates a relaxing atmosphere that balances and soothes you before going to sleep. In Sardinia, the plant grows abundantly from the plains to the mountainous areas, and those that grow individually assume the characteristic shape of a "pulvinus" (a pillow), brightening the hilly slopes with large bulges. It is exactly here that among heather, myrtle, laurel, arbutus, cistus, carob and juniper creeps in the mastic, an evergreen, densely branched shrub from the intense balsamic, resinous aroma.
